Term/Hours: Part-time summer (with possible extension beyond) 4 days a week (24-32 hours–potential flexibility to accommodate summer school classes); job starts upon hire; possible full time (for remainder of summer) starting on or before August 1
Description: Reporting to Senior Vice President (operations) and General Counsel. The candidate will be responsible for preparing financial deal transaction “write ups” for internal and external review. This will include conducting research on prospective companies, their products, and related industries. The write-ups will include aspects of: financial strength of the prospect, detailed company overviews, products & services, key customers, key competitors, leadership team and industry overviews. In this position the candidate will have exposure to Maxus’s leadership team, salesforce, clients and funding sources. Other responsibilities may include but not limited to; assisting General Council and to assist on various projects when needed.
Compensation: Hourly—rate TBD
Qualifications:
Excellent research skills
An ability to write persuasively and articulately is essential
Detail-oriented
Must be able to: organize and communicate ideas and analyze large amounts of information and pull together concisely
Interpersonal skills and ability to work with others a must
Computer skills (Windows-based office applications)
Business degree candidates preferred; however, journalism, communications, economics, English or related fields will be considered
